Distributed Systems Architecture Course

Starting November 2025, this six-week evening course covers the technical foundations that make blockchain systems work. Each session builds on the previous one, moving from basic concepts to actual implementation decisions.

Network Protocols

Understanding peer-to-peer communication and consensus mechanisms

Data Structures

Working with merkle trees, hash chains, and verification systems

Security Models

Cryptographic principles and attack vector analysis

Practical Labs

Building components and testing distributed scenarios

Instructor Linnea Bergström

Linnea Bergström

Systems Architect

Spent seven years building distributed infrastructure for financial systems before moving into blockchain architecture. Focuses on practical implementation rather than theoretical concepts.

Instructor Maeve O'Sullivan

Maeve O'Sullivan

Security Specialist

Works on cryptographic implementations and security audits for blockchain projects. Teaches the security modules with emphasis on real vulnerabilities she's encountered.

Common Questions About Our Events

Practical information about attending our workshops and sessions

What should I bring to hands-on workshops?
Bring your laptop with a code editor installed. We'll send specific setup instructions a week before each workshop. Most sessions require basic command line familiarity and internet access.
Are recordings available if I miss a session?
We don't record most events since they're interactive and discussion-based. But we do share slide materials and code examples with registered participants afterward.
How technical are these events?
It varies. Some sessions assume programming knowledge while others focus on business implementation and don't require coding skills. Check the prerequisites listed for each event.
Can I attend if I'm new to blockchain?
Yes, but start with our introductory sessions first. The advanced workshops move quickly and assume foundational knowledge. We recommend the September smart contract workshop as a good starting point.
What's your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 48 hours before an event for a full refund. After that, we can transfer your registration to another session if space is available.
